Getting outside is important, easy, and it can be a lot of fun! That’s why you may hear from your family the phrase, “go outside and play!” pretty often. They know that you’ll have fun and you’ll get fresh air and sunshine at the same time.
If you need to stay near home …
Find a jump rope and see how many times you can jump in a minute. You can learn how to jump “crosswalk” and even backward. Or get some friends and practice your Double Dutch!
- Scribble some hopscotch squares on the pavement.
- Make a foursquare court!
- Find a wall and a tennis ball to play some wall ball.
- Remember, running, jumping, riding, or doing whatever you like to do will keep the spiders from making cobwebs on you.
- Anything you’re doing, if you get outside, you’re doing it right.
