One of the best things about the snow is sledding! When it snows and you look out the window to see a perfect blanket of white powder, bundle up and get out there!
A sturdy trash bag or a flattened cardboard box make great (temporary) sleds. Or maybe you have your own personal saucer. Head to the nearest sledding spot and try not to face-plant while you’re sprinting up the hill.
You might think it will be difficult to find the perfect hill. But it’s probably easier than you think! Here are some ideas for some slopes to shred:
- City parks and playgrounds
- Neighborhoods with gentle hillsides
- Several local golf courses
You and your friends or family should call ahead to be sure you have permission to go sledding on someone’s property. They will appreciate you asking. You can also check with them about the safest places on their property to play!
